MONTANARO GALLERY

I got in to Rhode Island this afternoon for Measuring + Collecting and spent the whole day just driving around and checking out how beautiful New England is this time of year (I will post more pics from that later on). I spend about four hours just driving around, getting kinda lost, finding cool shit to take pictures of, then finding my way and getting lost all over again. But it was so great that way because i get to see more.

While I was cruising around I was trying to figure out where the gallery was and I saw this barn around the vicinity, and told myself "Oh mannnnn I hope that's it..." Well, wouldnt you know it was. The Montanaro Gallery...such a sick spot...annnd I was greeted by my buddy Andrew Jacob and Michael Montanaro and we just kicked it all afternoon. Juuuuuust what the doctor ordered........

I am so siked for the opening tomorrow....its gonna be a great party and the show is sooooo raaadddddd! Tomorrow I hit Newport with the Mayor for a special Big Ballin Soul Kontrolling tour to remember. For now, here a peek at the space.

SHOW AND TELL

I have to share these pictures from last night. I was painting for like, 8 hours straight and I realized it was getting dark and needed to walk the dog...so I went to grab shoes off of my balcony and saw THIS....i almost died! The pictures don't nearly do it justice but WOOOOOOW. That one building looks like something from ghostbusters. Man I leeeerv Miami

i shot this calendar for one of my best friend's birthdays last year. i did the styling and photos and, since he loves to eat, each look had to have food in it, which lead to just a little bit of extra insanity. oh and did i mention it was 12 different foods, with 12 different looks, in 12 different locations in ONE day!!?!?! well, it was! needless to say i was exhausted by the end of the day, but it was fun and the first photography project i ever did. these are my favs

i did these posters over a year ago, but i was doing a bit of spring cleaning while backing up today and i remembered how much i liked them. i shot my best friend DREA for it and drew a drippy futura for the title. anyway, keep yours eyes peeled...COMING TO A THEATRE NEAR YOU!

OPERA TOWER BROCHURE

for studio photography class (named studio photog even though we only did ONE indoor lighting project...so lame), we had to do a hotel brochure. i chose the OPERA TOWER here in beautiful downtown miami! truth be told, i was so busy with my other classes, i couldnt lock in a south beach hotel, so i crossed the bridge to my friends place, where i knew i could get in for photos and no one would bother me. the lobby and decor was pretty bad but the views were incredible at night! these are some of the spreads. suuuuuuper shout out to KARIN!!! thanks lady...you saved me.

THE HEARTEST SHIT

This is the cover I shot and laid out for MAYDAY's Valentine EP. For the real version, the title is actually called THE THINNEST LINE, but I think that The Heartest Shit is way fresh (they couldnt use the profanity for iTunes). This band is absolutely my family and their music rules, so checcccck em out!

these are pics that i took while walking around after my visit to MASP. all of the pics of junk are from the tents that are in the museum's breezeway area. the rest are from troopin around...i dont know the name of the neighborhood, but we walked a BUNCH and started to go into some serious seediness but luckily had the sense to bounce. it was a really grey and rainy day, but we made the best of it.
