BUILD!

yes, my friends and i are REALLY so fucking cool that when we take a swim break to eat watermelon, we sit on the floor and seriously build stuff with foam letters. (i cant escape tyyyype!!!!! but its a web i like to be caught in...truth!) check out my perfectly engineered bridge...it held a whole extra alphabet annnnnd the sculpture i made! by then i was just showing off though hahaha. OLLE gets the photo cred. and the design-world street cred for having nothing in his living room expect for those letters and a chalk board for 5 year olds. sick.

LINE

"read between the lines"...in third grade, my friend's older brother taught us that if you hold up your three middle fingers and say that to someone, its like flicking them off in secret hahaha...so yes, here is my new font: LINE. this is def the most technical one ive made...click on it to get the full effect.

PLASTIC ONO BAND

this is some work i did awhile ago and i realized that i havent put it up yet. they are spreads for a cd book for JOHN LENNON'S PLASTIC ONO BAND...one of the most heartbreakingly beautiful records ever...pick it up! its all a line from one of his songs "DONT LET THEM FOOL YOU; WITH DOPE AND COCAINE; CANT DO YOU NO WRONG; TO FEEL; YOUR OWN PAIN." the back and front covers say "plastic ono band" "john loves yoko." pretty much everything is hand drawn.

TAPIA

i made my boy JUAN this card for his bday. i finally went back and made the lettering official. i couldnt think of what to call it, so i named it after him. introducing: TAPIA...the display font of your dreams!

THE FUTURE...

from a quickie project on FUTURISM. the whole thing reads "WE WANT NO PART OF IT, THE PAST. WE THE YOUNG. WE THE STRONG. WE THE FUTURISTS." straight from the manifesto...theyre totally insane. yay italians!

THOUGHTS ON DEMOCRACY

one of my teachers this quarter is TIM HOSSLER...he super gangster in the art realm. the WOLFSONIAN here in miami had a show THOUGHTS ON DEMOCRACY that invited some super famo designers to make posters that reflect their feelings on the Norman Rockwell series "The Four Freedoms" (freedom of speech, religion, from fear, from want). so we got to do them too. here are mine.
