FRIENDS AND LOVERS: bangkok opening!

So, yesterday was the opening of FRIENDS & LOVERS in Bangkok! so exciting! I did the show logo (the blue/pink/yellow lettering) as well as an all over print lettering pattern, which was used to wrap the windows as well as some furniture...SO DOPE! i want that f-ing chair! I havent received a clear shot of my poster, but there will be more pics to come, im sure! anyway, looks like they had a blast and it was a super good turn out...shout outs to all of the other artists invovled...sick work!!! check the flicks...

holy shit...i am so beat. i have been working on this mural every second and am having a fucking blast! i love this shit! but yeah...i am tired and sore, but i am also almost finished with the first chunk of it! annnnd, its just in time for the opening in bangkok tomorrow!

the stuff I am painting on the bldg was originally made as a repeating textile pattern for the thailand show...its been used as like curtains and upholstery over there from what I hear...also, possibly tees and bags...looking forward to pics! freesize is so killing it!

anyway, this is the same lettering from the textile, plus some add ons, so it is nice to be finished with it at the same time as the opening...and i am sooo close to being done. check some process close ups from earlier this week...theyre a little dark because i have been getting there maaad early to squeeze in extra time before i go to work, so deeeaaaaallllll:

Friends & Lovers....opens this weekend in BANGKOK! I have been staying in touch with Logan from Freesize and am hearing such awesome shit about whats in store! And the work that I have seen from the other artists is sooooo sick. Check out the action from thailand at the freesize site, and I will keep posting stuff from there as I get it...super coooooolio.

FRIENDS AND LOVERS: getting started

Whoooooa what a weekend! lots of hardwork and help from many of my truly incredible friends helped me kick off my Friends & Lovers Basel mural....woooohooo!!! It was, what I like to call: another Jessy Nite production.... because goddamn what a shitshow hahaha! You know, until you have the real dough to back up a project, this is pretty much exactly how it goes...a projector on top of a pile of wood, thats on top of a pile of magazines, thats on top of a tall ladder.

Orrrrr, drawing out letters while under a blanket on top of a 16 foot ladder because there is a street light right where you are trying to project...

Hahaha what a hilarious night! but it all worked out and we got some paint on on the walls today. I will def be grinding it out until the last minute tho...theres still sooo much ahead. But its cool.

i had some of the besssst fwends helping me, while others stopped by to say whats up and some even brought fried chicken and beer. Amazing. And seriously, today was INSANELY beautiful...one of the first cool miami days in almost a year! Does shit REALLY get any better than getting to spend a beautiful day outside with friends, drinking beer, painting type and hanging with your dog? Not really...I AM THE LUCKIEST!!!

UPCOMING: FRIENDS & LOVERS

Sooo exciting stuff in the world of, well, worlds because I am part of a group show in Bangkok this month! International gigs? Woohoo!

Freesize and Made have put together a very exciting lineup for Friends & Lovers, a poster show that coincides with the Bangkok Design Festival November 20-30. It features artists from alllll over and is meant to inspire and engage Thailand by offering awesome, colorful werk at an affordable price. Which to me, is what this shit is all about! Art is for ERRRYBODY!!!

Anyway, yeah I am pumped...especially because we have worked on extending the show to Art Basel Miami November 30-Dec 5! I will be covering a building with some type pieces inspired by love and friendship, so keep an eye out...install starts this weekend, more details and content to follow :)
